90th Anniversary
We celebrate the 90th anniversary of the local history association with speeches, music and a festive program as well as a new edition of the family book Lars Frijs and his descendants. Afterwards, there will be coffee and a pleasant gathering. Folk costumes are welcome to be worn if available.

Welcome to Kirkonmäki's portal
Kirkonmäki is one of Kokkola’s historic and picturesque areas, located about 2 km from the city center. Here, you can stroll among well-preserved cottages and wooden houses in the Heritage Quarter and at the Kaarlela museum, where the atmosphere is steeped in cultural heritage and stories from times past. Enjoy a coffee or lunch at the cozy Herkku-pirtti café, browse for treasures in the antique shop, and let the children play at the playground.
Kirkonmäki is home to a variety of associations, residents, the parish, and local entrepreneurs. This portal offers an overview of the entire area — more information about the local acors can be found on their respective websites.
