HERITAGE QUARTER

On Kirkonmäki is the Heritage Quarter, a beautiful and atmospheric area dating back to the 16th–17th centuries, when it functioned as a church marina. Today, the charming timber houses form a unique cultural environment.

The houses, which have been moved here from different parts of Ostrobothnia are mostly timber houses built in the 18th and 19th centuries Together they create a vivid insight into Finnish cultural heritage.

With its peaceful atmosphere and historic charm, the Heritage Quarter is well worth a visit.
